OVERVIEW
Background
In 2015, JK Fabrications joined the project in partnership with Imtech UK and RosRoca Envirotec, acting as the design and build subcontractor for the mechanical elements of the scheme. The project focused on delivering key process infrastructure for an aerobic digestion facility, supporting enhanced sludge treatment and processing capabilities.
Drawing on its expertise in specialist fabrication and installation, JK Fabrications was responsible for the design, manufacture, installation, and testing of critical mechanical components required for the successful operation of the plant.
Scope of Works
- Detailed design and engineering of mechanical process equipment
- Manufacture and installation of stainless steel pipework ranging from Ø100mm to Ø400mm
- Design and fabrication of four stainless steel pasteurisation vessels
- Manufacture of vessels measuring 6.5m in length and Ø3.5m in diameter
- Site delivery, installation, and mechanical assembly
- Testing and commissioning of installed equipment
- Quality assurance and performance verification
Outcome
The project was successfully completed, with JK Fabrications delivering all mechanical elements in accordance with the project requirements and programme.
The installation of the stainless steel pipework and four bespoke pasteurisation vessels provided the aerobic digestion facility with robust and reliable process infrastructure, supporting efficient sludge treatment operations. All equipment was thoroughly tested and commissioned to ensure optimum performance and compliance with operational standards.
The successful delivery of the project demonstrated JK Fabrications’ capability to design, manufacture, and install complex stainless steel process equipment for the water and wastewater sector, providing high-quality solutions that support long-term operational efficiency and reliability.
