TIMELINE
John King started the JK Story back in 1998, starting out with one man and his van to becoming a front runner in environmental sensitive engineering solutions and employing over 70 staff throughout the UK.
JK Fabrications Ltd now specialises in efficient, effective and environmentally sensitive solutions to the Water, Waste Water, Waste Energy, and Pharmaceutical Industry.
With over 30 years of experience delivering expertise in the industry, JK Fabrications Ltd has become one of the front runners and will keep challenging ourselves and others to improve our Environment as we believe that ‘Our Environment, is our Future’.
1995
John started off by starting up an installation company known as, JK Engineering where he worked with numerous Design and Fabrication companies in fitting and commissioning their products on-site to their high spec.
1998
Three years after the initial establishment of JK Engineering, JK Fabrications Ltd was created. With the start of a new company, this now meant that we could now offer Fabrication as well as Installation and commissioning.
1999
Soon after, to target all the needs of the fabrication process, John made the decision to open a design department to offer the whole package to potential clients, one of the first of its kind within the industry in Northern Ireland.
2001
Our first premises was a rented unit on the Rathfriland Road, Newry, this made way for JK Fabrications Ltd to put our name on the map by upscaling our production.
2002/2003
With the continued expansion of JK Fabrications Ltd, a further two units were rented out by the company.
2005
With demand continuing to grow, the Company made the move to a bigger premise within the Carnbane Business Park on the outskirts of Newry. As a young company, we were now showing our ambition by settling into a 35,000sq ft workshop.
2009
With the company’s continued growth we started to grow out of our current premise, therefore we acquired an adjacent site, thus expanding to 50000sq ft of internal workshop area and 2 acres of external holding and storage area.
2010
With our cutting services being in constant demand a CNC pipe profiler was purchased, the first of its kind in Northern Ireland.
2014
As the design team continued to grow, JK Fabrications Ltd redesigned its premises adding more offices and a broad room to accommodate the growth.
2016
As the needs of our clients became more bespoke a Brake Press was purchased to advance our services.
2017
To ensure the continuation of our clients receiving a flawless cut on premier quality material we required a CNC Plasma Cutter.
2018
John King decided it was time to venture out and start a construction company, now known as JK Projects UK. Specifically specialising in demolition, construction, and fit-out of buildings across the UK and Ireland.
2019
JK Projects UK starts off our debut with a bespoke bowling alley in Liverpool showcasing every element of our services.
2019
John King Group is formed.
